It Was Only a Legend
Alone. Trapped.
My heart beat raced, sending blood pulsating through my body, throbbing in my mind.
I tried the door knob again, but no luck. It was still stuck. Rusted shut form many years of abandonment.
Rusted shut to prevent me from escaping.
I wanted to scream, to call out for help, but I knew no one would hear me. The rest of them were gone; their lifeless bodies strewn about the dense forest floor, their warm blood sticky on my hands as I tried to revive them.
